A Two Dimensional Universe

UFO's. Whoever or whatever they are, they're basically just showing off.

I only mention it cause I'm working on a science fiction story. It's set in a world where all of the peoples are made out of paper. Having a bad day? Draw on a sad face. It was all 2D, but they evolved.

The creased bundle of parched parchment furrows up his pulpy brow. "None of this three dimensions rubbish in my day." He says, inky eyes stare with disapproval at disgruntled digits.

In the beginning, their was the sketch. Then the sketch was made flesh. Well, paper... and folds.

Etc.

The Matrix

One of the things I never got about Matrix was the way they all ended up standing around wearing dark glasses. I get the whole 'agent' thing... FBI, CIA, so you can't see what they are looking at etc. . But what about the 'good guys'? Are they all migraine sufferers or what? And why are they so smug? Or are they just portraying Emotionally Detached badly?

Not big fans of the whole Zen-like 'let's maybe have a bit of fun while we're at it' side of enlightenment? Smug gits. 'Yeah... cause we escaped and we like leather and anyone that doesn't get it is just cannon fodder.' Never mind, at least we can all try and dance in a cave once in a while. Moody teenagers will save the world?
