Hello you. Lack of updates due to not having a decent internet connection at the moment. Life is good. How about a story narrated by the dummy that Houdini used for decapitation routines? Mmm...

Back to the Future will also star 90's children's TV presenter Pob as 'Marty Mcfly' and Denzel Washington as 'Doc Emmett Brown'. Garbage's Shirley Manson will play Lorraine Mcfly, with So Solid Crew's Megaman appearing as 'Biff'

Two nights ago I dreamt that I was a girl. I was still me inside, but in an entirely different, female body. I looked a whole lot better than I do today. I was hanging out with Kooky , and looking for eye-liner. All very well and good, accept that this was during WWII and I was being chatted up by a German officer...

Genesis P'Orridge: while it is commonplace to say that art and life are the same thing... with all honesty I don't know of anyone else who's decided to let go of the person they were born and actually become a piece of art set free on a planet with no agenda except to reveal the mystery of being alive, and to revel in the mystery of being alive... because it's one of the only things worth being dredged [drenched?] in... Life is more than duty; it is bliss, excess, waste - to the point of orgy. Everything that exists should be celebrated... Art is propaganda for life, for how it enhances it. And life is but a ceremony, and in all of this, in art, in life, and in its lies, are all the preconditions for celebration... [Keynote lecture for Relocating the Sacred symposium]

"You know something's wrong when you start causing yourself pain and enjoying it."

He likes to suggest that he was the resident hard-man at school. He likes telling people that he was expelled. But it's not true. Most of the other kids used to tease him until he bled: I liked the one about his brother being some kind of cheap self-assembly robot: a waddling, helpless dependent, always one step behind and calling out Dean's name in a cheap-speaker voice.

So the best year's of Dean's youth had been spent with that thing trundling behind him, until Dean grew up enough to out-run him.

He's never forgive me for enjoying that one. I guess he simply hasn't gotten around to persecuting the rest of our year yet.

Dudley Moore: R.I.P

Nicely put edit. at cookd and bombd regarding the lovely Mr Moore; like I always said the 11 o'clock show ("Good news for Billy Connolly, who got a slot on "Parkinson", bad news for Dudley Moore who got Parkinsons") always seemed to do a great job of picking on the wrong guy.

Largely ignored, just like that nice Mr Milligan, in the later years of his life. The media stinks. What's new. As grizzled and angst-worn as I may seem to you, Mr Moore was one of several persons who reduced me to rib-rattling, black-out inducing, tearful laughter on more than several occassions.
